A few words from the founder
When people think about Alpha, they tend to think of the dominant one in a pack. One rarely associates an alpha with Asian.
There are certain unconscious expectations and biases based on our race amongst many other things, making success a more challenging mission for some than others. I have made it my mission to take down these barriers and glass ceilings, and to make the future workplace a more diverse place where those under-represented are set up for success. Alpha Approach is where this begins, and I hope you will join me on this journey.

Founder and CEO, Consulting Lead
Anqi Guo
After graduating from London School of Economics, Anqi started her consulting career at Accenture Strategy in London, specialising in growth and digital strategy. She worked with board level clients at across 8 European countries during the four years she was at Accenture.
As a non-English native, Anqi excelled in a highly competitive professional environment, recognised as no.1 performer in the team, receiving the most recognition awards out of the 40-people team in 2018. She was also the first and only consultant level coach for board level clients in Accenture UK.
Anqi has spent a substantial amount of time in U.S., U.K., Germany and China, and she has a wealth of experience in recruiting in these countries. Anqi has not only worked with over 50 students to achieve outstanding recruitment results, she is also recognised by her professional coaching with board level clients (read testimonial here).

Makoto Nakada
Makoto has a 8-year experience in finance, across investment bank and hedge funds in Europe and Asia. He is an equity investment specialist with multiple awards and, at Alpha, he shares his finance industry expertise with students as our finance lead.
He holds an MBA from London Business School and Master in Economics at Hitotsubashi University.
